About me

Hi, my name is Anna, I am a speech and language therapist. I am very lucky and privileged to get to work with so many amazing children. I feel passionately about supporting children to reach their full potential and I believe that everyone deserves to have their voice heard.

My journey and introduction to Speech and Language Therapy began back in 2014 when my second child was diagnosed with a phonological speech disorder. I therefore know what it is like to be on the receiving end of therapy as a parent. I feel this brings an understanding and an empathy when working with families.

Once my youngest was old enough for me to study, I embarked on my Speech and Language Therapy degree at Plymouth Marjon University. I graduated in the summer of 2022 and I have been working in a specialist school working with autistic children, Attention Deficit  Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). I have also spent some time working in the NHS providing support with the paediatric waiting lists.

I have gained much experience through my work and CPD training. This including Trauma Informed Practice and Neurodiversity Affirming practice. I enjoy working with speech, language and social communication and value the importance of having a holistic view of a child and their needs.
